Generate Images Using Text Prompts in DAM

Easily create images from text prompts within ImageKit's Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform.

With ImageKit's latest feature, you can effortlessly generate images by simply typing in text prompts within the Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform. Create unique visuals, browse and search through your generated image history, upload them to your media library, and perform various actions on these images—all within a few clicks.

Note: Behind the scene, it uses AI-transformations to generate images from your text prompts. Generating images consumes extension units. Learn more about pricing here.

How to Generate Images

To start creating images from text prompts:

  1. Click on the "Generate Images" banner at the top of the DAM or select it from the "New" button.
  2. (Optional) In the advanced settings, choose the number of images you want to generate and select the desired dimensions.
  3. Enter your text prompt in the provided box.
  4. Click "Generate". Your images will be created and displayed once they're ready. It usually takes 20-30 seconds to generate images.

Browse and Search Your Generated Images

You can view the history of all generated images, search them by the text prompt used, and filter them by creation date or the user who generated them.

Click on the image or the "Expand image" icon to view more details of the generated image. In this view, you can perform actions such as deleting the image, saving it to the media library, copying the image URL, downloading it, or sharing the URL with others who have access to the media library. Moreover, you can navigate to the next or previous image in the list.

Audit Logs

All actions related to image generation and deletion within the DAM are recorded in the central audit logs. Use these logs to track your image generation history.

Access Control and Permissions

Only users with access to the DAM can use this feature.

A restricted user can generate images using text prompts but can only view and delete images they have generated. They can upload generated images to the media library if they have "Can Contribute" access to the relevant folders.
